Fertility Care Can Quickly Become Overwhelming…
You’ve waded through endless internet information about tests and fertility treatment options, but none of it pinpoints what's going on with you.
Your doctor says “keep trying,” your family says “just relax.” But waiting and wondering if something's wrong feels unbearable.
Every clinic you contact seems to push IVF. You just want an honest opinion on all your options first, and unbiased help to make the best decision.

You Don't Have to Spend a Year Wondering What's Going On
Formal infertility evaluations often don't begin until you've been trying for six months or longer, depending on your age and circumstances. But the longer you wait to find out if something’s wrong, the harder the path can get — especially if you’re over 35.
At OM Fertility, we offer full fertility testing for anyone who’s trying to conceive (naturally or via assisted reproduction). Three months of cycle tracking is ideal but not essential.
We’ll review all of your options — including unassisted pregnancy, ovulation induction, IUI, IVF, donor eggs/embryos and whole-person treatment support — then help you determine a clear pathway to pregnancy that suits you medically, emotionally and financially.
Get a Fertility Plan That Suits Your Body, Budget & Family Goals
We aim to uncover your “path of least resistance” with:
-
A thorough fertility investigation and potential barriers.
-
Personalised recommendations for testing and next steps — whether that's trying naturally, IUI, IVF or something else.
-
A care plan that looks beyond baby number one and considers your longer-term family goals.
-
Guidance that matches your physical and emotional well-being, and your financial situation.
-
Early diagnosis of any issues, including male-factor infertility, so you're not losing time on a path that isn't working.
-
Honest guidance on when IVF makes sense and when it doesn't, from someone with no financial incentive either way.
-
A trusted San Diego provider list for anything outside our scope: acupuncturists, IVF clinics, reproductive surgeons, obstetricians, mental health support.

“Disha Mistri is a true expert in the often male-dominated world of fertility care. It feels incredibly refreshing to work with a caring, highly qualified, intelligent provider. She always explained the process thoroughly, making me feel respected and comfortable. Thanks to Disha, my second round was a success."
Violet Sinclaire, San Diego, CA
"As I started my fertility journey, I was overwhelmed and unsure where to start. At the doctor's office, I was pushed in and out, leaving me feeling alone and lost. Disha was warm and caring, took the time to explain the basics, the different lab values, tests ordered and medications. She helped me understand my body and gave me direction."
Pricilla Piner, San Diego, CA
"I absolutely LOVED working with Disha! She made me feel so safe and supported through the whole process. I really appreciated the time she took in explaining the answers to my many questions and the education around the fertility. 10/10 recommend!"
Paige Rodriguez, San Diego, CA

Fertility Consultations for All Paths to Parenthood
Trying to Conceive Naturally
Been trying for a few months without luck? If you want answers now rather than waiting a year to find out whether something is wrong, a fertility consultation can help you understand what may be happening and whether further testing is appropriate.
Queer Families & Single Mothers by Choice
Planning to conceive using donor sperm comes with its own set of decisions. Disha can help you think through donor selection (including the pros and cons of a known donor versus an anonymous donor), timing, sperm availability, IUI versus IVF, and how to make the most of each sperm vial — drawing on her professional expertise and lived experience with donor conception.
Considering Fertility Treatment
If you're comparing IVF clinics (in California, across the US or internationally) or trying to decide whether IUI, IVF or other assisted reproductive treatments are the right next step, we'll help you understand the terminology, costs, treatment options and likely path forward — without selling you a particular clinic or treatment.
After a Failed IVF Cycle
Most people get a single follow-up call and very little explanation of what went wrong after a failed IVF cycle, leaving you with more questions than answers. We go back through your ultrasounds, lab work and fertilization data to look for patterns, missed diagnoses or factors that indicate your approach needs to be different next time.

Helping San Diego Families Get Pregnant Since 2021
Before founding OM Fertility, Nurse Practitioner Disha Mistri spent years working in IVF care. She saw how patients can feel steered towards IVF before fully understanding all other options.
These days, with no financial incentive to sell IVF (and also with two IVF-conceived children of her own), Disha offers unbiased, trauma-informed fertility guidance for all San Diego families — including couples, single mothers by choice, queer and non-binary folk, and women over 40.
A former middle school teacher, Disha explains complex fertility concepts simply and always provides written notes to ensure you fully understand your diagnosis. Her goal is quality fertility care for all.
How It Works: Fertility Specialist San Diego
Book Your Consultation
Visit our San Diego clinic for a one-hour in-person consult (phone consults also available). We'll review your medical history, complete a transvaginal ultrasound, discuss your goals and create your personalized fertility treatment plan. If you choose to continue care with us, we’ll guide you through next steps.
Complete Fertility Testing
Based on your goals and treatment plan, we'll recommend any diagnostic tests you may need. This could include bloodwork, hormone panels, ovarian reserve testing and/or a referral for genetic screening. Most patients complete the full panel and have answers within just a few weeks.
Dig Deeper If Needed
Depending on your situation, further testing may be recommended, such as a saline sonogram to assess the uterine cavity, Exem Foam (our no-X-ray alternative to HSG) to check whether the fallopian tubes are open, or a semen analysis (if relevant).

"I have a fear of doctors' offices, so I avoided going to see if something was wrong until after my husband and I were trying to start a family. Disha was so reassuring and explained everything so thoughtfully and thoroughly. Low and behold, after my first appointment I fell pregnant after two years of trying. I am so thankful."
Chevezz Mooney,
